My Skincare Routine

Hey Everyone,

I haven’t posted in quite a while and to tell the truth I feel like I haven’t had a moment to just sit and get down a blog post as I’ve been so busy with organising wedding bits. I feel like we’ve got all the important things done now and I have some great ideas on upcoming blog posts so stay tuned!

Anyway back to my skincare routine. This is something I spoke about at the beginning of the year but I didn’t want to post about it until I had been using all the products for a few months and seen some results but I feel I’ve tried them for long enough now to speak about them. All the products will be linked below!

Liz Earle Cleanse and Polish– I love this product. I’ve used it for about a year now and love the way it removes absolutely everything. I tend to wear a lot of eye makeup and it takes it off so easily and I don’t feel like I’m pulling at my eyes at all. This product is a staple in my routine and especially for the price of £16 for 100ml and 2 cloths it is a great buy.

Mario Badescu Facial Spray with Aloe, Cucumber and Green Tea– Once I’ve cleansed my face I use this and my Garnier Miscellar Water. This spray is amazing because you can also use it as a primer (before make up), as a setting spray or just to refresh your face throughout the day (plus it smells amazing).

Kiehl’s Ultra Facial Cream– As you can probably tell I’m a massive fan of Kiehl’s skincare. Everything I’ve bought from them has always been amazing and not extremely pricey. I love the fact that they have 2 different sizes of most products so you can always buy the smaller pots to test out the product first without spending lots of money. This moisturiser leaves my skin feeling smooth, soft and hydrated throughout the day and sits really well under makeup.

Kiehl’s Creamy Avocado Eye Treatment- I put this in my 5 favourite beauty products of 2017 post so I will link this here if you want to know why I love this so much!

Kiehl’s Midnight Recovery- This product has to be the best money ever spent! I bought this about a year ago and put it on nearly every night and it STILL hasn’t ran out. You only need around 2-3 drops to rub through your palm and pat onto your face as it is highly concentrated. I only ever put this on before bed as soaks in over night and by the morning my skin always feels plump and youthful.

I’ve been trying to stick to this routine every night and I have noticed a difference in my skin! Let me know what skincare recommendations are!

January Favourites

January just seems to go on forever doesn’t it? I’m pretty glad to see the back of it actually, as I don’t know about you but I’m always broke after Christmas and don’t end up doing very much. However… on the plus side (since it was just Christmas) I have a few things I’ve been loving this month which I thought I’d share with you all.

What I eat in a day

Breakfast- 7:30am

My favourite meal of the day. As long as I can remember I have always absolutely loved breakfast. I’m the type of person who wakes up with an appetite and looks forward to this meal every day. Most mornings I try to have something substantial as the next time I eat is usually lunch which is quite far away. On this occasion I made a ham, mushroom and spinach omelette (2 whole eggs 1 egg white). I loved having eggs for breakfast as I find them filling and they provide a balanced breakfast with high protein and good fats. Read More

My Top Favourite Nude Lip Combinations

My favourite lip combinations have always been nude. Pinky nude, browny nude, dark nude, light nude, true nude… basically anything nude. I’ve never been one to be very adventurous with bright colours and quite frankly don’t think they really suit me so when it comes to lipsticks I tend to be quite boring and stick to similar shades. That being said, I still have hundreds of lipsticks and I personally don’t think any of them are the same shade (convincing my fiancé this on the on the other hand is a different matter!).  Read More

Staying on Track in January

Hello everyone,

Over the past two weeks I’ve been trying my best to be as healthy as possible but I have definitely found not snacking the hardest part. Does anyone else find meals quite easy to keep healthy but snacks nearly impossible!?! When all you really want to do is reach for the chocolate bar or have a cup of tea WITH biscuits nothing seems to come close.

I’ve tried quite a few products this month which have helped me keep on track and still hit my sugar cravings (in a more healthy way than a dairy milk bar!) which I thought I would share with you.

How to Find the Perfect Wedding Shoes…

These days your wedding shoes are nearly just as important as the dress you wear, (although many people do not even see them). I’ve been asked so many times ‘What shoes will you wear?’ I guess as the wedding dress is often top secret at least I could share my ideas on the shoes.

When picking my dream pair I definitely did not go for the ‘classic’ bridal look. In fact I think I went for the more high fashion look and I can imagine they are either a love or hate shoe to be honest.

This was always something that I knew I would splash out on as I do not own a pair of designer shoes and decided that for my wedding day it would be the perfect time (excuse) to treat myself to a pair. For me, it wasn’t hard to decide on the exact style and designer I wanted but I did take a few things into consideration beforehand! Below are some tips to help if you’re struggling to decide which pair would be the ones for you OR do not want to spend a small fortune on your shoes (I have found some great dupes).

Apologies in advance for how many times I say ‘shoes’ in this post…

DIY Bridesmaid Boxes

Hello everyone,

I’ve been so excited to share some of my DIY tips and tricks that I have used throughout the wedding process. As you all know, weddings are extremely expensive and where I could try to do things myself and save some money I was definitely happy (plus it’s often an excuse to get together with the bridesmaids and have some fun!). When I first got engaged I was so excited to ask the special people in my life to be my bridesmaids but I knew I wanted to do it in a creative way. Pintrest is a dream for this sort of thing and helped me to think of fun, special ways I could ask them without it costing a fortune. I loved the ‘will you be my bridesmaid’ esque boxes and got making them straight away. Read More
